Health Insurance Coverage
Aesthetic breast augmentation is not coveredby the French Assurance Maladie. The full cost is the patient's responsibility.
Exceptions exist: in the context of breast reconstruction after mastectomy (breast cancer), or gender-affirming chest feminisation recognised under ALD 31, full or partial coverage may be available.
Coverage may also be possible in two specific situations: severe breast hypoplasia (A-cup or documented absence of breast development), or significant breast asymmetry with a marked volume difference between the two sides. In such cases, a prior agreement request to the Assurance Maladie can be submitted — please enquire at your consultation.
Expected Results
Breast augmentation delivers lasting, harmonious results tailored to each individual. The volume and shape selected at consultation correspond to the definitive outcome, visible at 6–12 months once swelling has fully resolved and implants have settled.
Patients notice a marked improvement in their silhouette, self-confidence and relationship with their body. Scars gradually fade to become virtually invisible within 12 to 18 months.
