Where are the consultations and procedures performed?+

Is breast augmentation covered by French health insurance?+
Aesthetic breast augmentation is not covered by the Assurance Maladie. However, breast reduction and certain reconstructions may be covered when medical criteria are met. Chest feminisation within a gender transition pathway (ALD 31) may also qualify for coverage.
How long is the wait between consultation and surgery?+
Under French law, a minimum reflection period of 15 days must elapse between receipt of the written quote and the procedure. In practice, the total time from first consultation to surgery is generally 4 to 8 weeks.
How long is recovery after breast augmentation?+
Time off work is typically 7 to 10 days for a desk job, and 3 to 4 weeks for physical work. Return to sport is possible after 6 weeks. The definitive result is visible after 3 months.
